Am I the only one who likes the instrumental only version of this song better than the version with vocals?

So, this is actually well done. The instrumentals are perfect. And the vocals are technically perfect. They fit the singers, match the music, and aren't trying to be something they are not (something I am seeing more and more often, especially with female vocalists). The problem is that this is a sea shanty. The expectation from the audience is of gruff weathered men, and maybe a few women, singing this as they labored over their task. And that goes double for this particular one since that is exactly what the song is describing. This performance subverts that expectation. Which can be fine if the performer brings something new or unique to the table. However, this performance does not. Well done, I just think it is a song that fits this group of performers poorly.

This video would have worked better if the young girl as Wednesday was allowed to have done more. It looks like this was all about the older girl players. But everybody gets a kick out of seeing a kid dance or do something different. And here we have a kid that looks good for a young Wednesday. But wasn't seen very much. The original score for the movie was Wednesday herself, and her music was in the background while showing dancing etc. I would have liked to have seen more dancing and acting from this girl than she was allowed to do. She has talent. But wasn't allowed to show it here.
